Hurl is a tool that lets me choose how to open every URL that I click in any non-browser application. I find this useful since my default choice is Chrome, but there are certain links that I want to open with Firefox or Edge.
Install Hurl by downloading the binary installer from the Releases page and running it.
After installation, set Hurl as the default browser in Windows. This means that Windows will try to open all links (that are clicked outside a browser) using Hurl.
Configure Hurl to have all the browsers you want to launch. Specific paths and launch configs can be set in the ExePath
option for each browser. This settings file is actually %APPDATA%\Hurl\UserSettings.json
.
Hurl works only for links clicked in a non-browser app, since every browser opens a clicked link inside itself. To enable opening clicked link from a browser in a different browser, we need browser addons. Hurl is still working on that.
Tried with: Hurl 0.7.1
