CPUPower

cpupower is a tool that enables get and set of CPU power states and values.

• To get this tool, install your Linux kernel’s tools packages:

$ sudo apt install linux-tools-common linux-tools-5.15.0-33-generic

• To get current CPU frequency info:

$ sudo cpupower frequency-info

• To set the CPU frequency governor:

$ sudo cpupower frequency-set --governor powersave

Instead of powersave use one of the governor values printed by the get command above.
