Microsoft Teams is a communication tool for the workplace with features of chat, call and meetings with audio and video.
Here are some keyboard shortcuts I like to use in the Meeting app:
Ctrl + Shift + M
: Toggle mute and unmute.Ctrl + Shift + O
: Toggle camera on and off.Ctrl + Shift + E
: Share content.Noise suppression: This is a great feature that removes all non-speech sound originating at your end when you speak. To set this, click on your profile in top-right corner and Settings -> Devices -> Noise Suppression. The level is set to Auto by default, but with a noisy home I turn it to High, even though I have a headset with a noise-canceling mic. This feature supposedly uses the CPU’s AVX2 instructions, but I noticed no performance degradation while this feature is enabled.
Set recording for meeting: When you create a meeting in Outlook (with Teams support), you can set the meeting to be automatically recorded. In the meeting invite you are creating in Outlook, choose Meeting -> (Teams Meeting) Settings -> Meeting Options. In the dialog that pops up, enable Record automatically.
