Tree Style Tab extension for Firefox

I keep a lot of tabs open in Firefox during my workday. When a lot of tabs are open, I can barely see the webpage title displayed in the tab. Since widescreen displays are so common, why do not browsers use the extra horizontal space to show tabs on the side instead of the top?

That is precisely what Tree Style Tab extension for Firefox does.

• Biggest advantage of this extension for me is that I can see more of the webpage title in the tabs.
• Another advantage is that tabs shown on the side also keep their hierarchical information: child tabs are indented under the parent tab from which they were opened. This information is crucial when you have lots of tabs open. You could close or open an entire section of the tab tree for example, like you do in file browsers.
• F1 is the keyboard shortcut to toggle the side view of tabs.
