Sometimes you might want to set a timer while working on Ubuntu. For example, to check something in the kitchen after a certain number of minutes. Whatever your need, there is a nice little application called Tea Time for Ubuntu that does the job.

To install Tea Time, add the PPA repository ppa:rojtberg/ppa and install it from the repository using the package name teatime-unity.

To launch the application from the Dash, type Tea Time. You can add and start many timers and the application will stay visible in the Launcher while it is running. The icon in the Launcher also shows how much time is left in a progress bar.

Tried with: Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
