Avast! Free Antivirus: Uninstall Problems

Problem

You might not be able to uninstall Avast! Free Antivirus due to errors during un-installation.

Solution

One easy way to fix this is to choose to Change in the Uninstall dialog. Avast will try to update and re-install itself from the Internet when this option is chosen. Un-installation after this should work.
