The long awaited CUDA 4.0 release is finally here! For developers, CUDA now ships as five components:
CUDA Tools SDK
GPU Computing SDK
The confusingly named CUDA Tools SDK is a new entrant. In CUDA 4.0, this only includes an API named CUDA Profiler Tools Interface (CUPTI), which is aimed at folks writing CUDA tools. So, for my simple CUDA programming needs I only need the latest driver and CUDA Toolkit.
Thrust 1.4.0 is included along with the CUDA Toolkit and so are the latest Build Rules. Support for Visual Studio 2010 still seems spotty and I will be sticking with Visual Studio 2008 (sigh!) until this improves.
